| I have never been to the networking academy. This book i cannot care to have that 3 stars feeling, you must have strong feeling for the book . It is like skip the unnecessary and deal with the important points. But i did not find the book particularly useful, because. I did not read any of the Cisco Networking Academy books , and without those the book is all Greek and Latin . The book is however is very simple to use and good for exams if you have followed the CCNA DISCOVERY series, otherwise, it is not helpful. I wanted to give it 2 or even 1 star, but that will not be fair on the author, who presented the book in a lucid style and it is an excellent resource. |

This is a great book, but hard to use as you are going along in your classes, because it jumps around all thro9ugh the entire course. If you have finished the course and are 31 days from your Cert Test, then I would have rated ita five-star. So wait to either buy the book, or buy it early and hold on to it. I do have to say that if you search the contents (no index), you can find the chapters you are studying, as it references them. However, try to remember, this is not a text book, or chapter course guide....it gives you a briefing, but mainly it lets you know what to study, so that you are studying and reviewing everything in a logical order. Pretty much what the cert test will be like. Overall, this book is a necessity if you are going for the CCENT certification.
